Sally Burnett Earns National Certification
March 2007
Sally Burnett, volunteer coordinator at Trident United
Way’s 211 Hotline, has become the first person in the Lowcountry to
achieve the highest certification possible in the volunteer administration
field.
Burnett has earned the credential certified volunteer
administrator, through the national Council for Certification in Volunteer
Administration.
To earn certification, Burnett completed a rigorous
process that includes a performance-based portfolio and an exam that
tests knowledge, application and analysis skills related to volunteer
resources management.
The certification validates what many in our community
already know about Sally Burnett, that she brims with warmth, enthusiasm
and aptitude as the Lowcountry’s volunteer coordinator. Among her many
duties, Burnett coordinates Trident United Way’s Day of Caring, which
involved nearly 5,000 people and 250 projects in 2006.
